K-Art in Berlin

Issue 11 – City Editions

In Issue 11, we focus on Berlin, a city that resists easy definition. Aesthetically raw, open, and forever in motion, Berlin’s frictions and contradictions provide space for experimentation. The practices of our ten Berlin-based creatives move across disciplines, often grounded in research but also guided by lived experience. Many engage with migratory themes such as displacement and belonging, navigating intergenerational legacies and cultural ties across borders. Through architectural thresholds, botanical spheres, spiritual traditions, and more, they demonstrate a sensitivity to absence: the desire to question, visualize, and empower that which has been fragmented, overlooked, or suppressed. For them, Berlin is an active force where ideas of multiplicity and transformation run deep, challenging, crafting, and sustaining diasporic histories and transnational realities in truly amazing ways.
