K-Art in NYC

Issue 10 – City Editions

NYC is a condition, a pressure cooker, and a city that demands commitment before so much as offering direction. It remains a one-of-a-kind testing ground for talented creative spirits who move slowly, look closer, and stand the test of time. In Issue 10, we invite you to explore studios that are carved out of basements, shared floors, and public realms. Take note as competition gives way, at times, to solidarity, and making unfolds through repetition, care, and processes that blend intimacy and isolation in equal measure. Melt into surfaces that carry memories and feel the weight of structures that reveal the growing pains and strains of lived experience. Above all, enjoy the moment as materials are bent, stitched, layered, assembled, and worn down as if to negotiate the tension of urban contradictions on the ground. This is New York, and for our ten featured artists, it really is a helluva town!
