True Colors
Issue 8 – Transnational Editions
In Issue 8, we follow artists who treat color as origin, language, and living force. For some, color emerges from the bloodstream of imagination, tied to spiritual traditions and futuristic mythologies alike, while for others, it exists as a residue of emotion, lingering beneath the surface of perception and quietly influencing our moods. Across geographies, generations, and genres, these artists let color speak when words fall short. They evoke the moment just before meaning takes shape, wrestle with control and release, and take color as a companion in improvisation, allowing it to guide flow, fracture, and reveal through both body and brush. Together, these voices ask us to see color as a deeper kind of truth. Something that pulses, glimmers, bleeds, fades, and transforms. Something that moves across the inner and outer realms, forever vivid, vulnerable, and utterly alive.
