Youjin Yi merges memory, myth, and movement into fluid, intuitive dreamscapes. Exuding Korean spirituality and amplified by a global perspective, her works explore themes of exile, fate, and the forces of the in-between. Painting on hanji and unstretched canvas, Youjin embraces immediacy and ambiguity, allowing forms to emerge with instinctive grace. Her figures drift through the landscapes of childhood, nature, and longing, each a facet of the void made visible. For Youjin, every brushstroke serves as a soft rebellion against the anxiety-inducing uncertainties of life.
