jeyoon ryu
Jeyoon Ryu transforms emotional turbulence into fragile yet resilient ceramic forms of self-discovery. Based in Kyoto and influenced by his Korean heritage, Jeyoon’s work channels isolation and myth into powerful self-portraits. Using hand-coiled ceramics as both medium and metaphor, he layers everyday impressions and inherited histories into figures that evoke vulnerability and defiance. Influenced by Siddartha, folk tales, and pop icons, his pieces reflect a quiet determination to protect, connect, and heal across cultural and generational divides.
