About Us
Founded by husband-and-wife duo Stewart Collins and Jiwon Kim, Vibes and Vistas (VNV) is a Finland-based international platform committed to promoting Korean contemporary art on the global stage. What began as an independent publication has evolved into a dynamic cultural hub connecting artists, institutions, and audiences in meaningful ways. Through research-driven digital features, youth initiatives, and events-based programing, VNV ensures that K-Creative professionals are seen, heard, and represented with integrity as their work travels across borders.

TRANSNATIONAL EDITIONS
Transnational Editions were four landmark issues of the VNV magazine that shaped the curatorial voice and global vision of our platform. They also marked a turning point in VNV’s physical trajectory, offering inspiration and laying the groundwork for our 2025 relaunch in Finland and entry into the Nordic creative scene.
in motion & return
In Motion & Return (2025 – 2028) spans 12 place-based publications, a K-Art Voices interview series, and a collection of digital Lookbooks. In years 1 and 2, we will consider themes of belonging and home in the lives and works of K-Artists based in 4 powerhouse cities (London, New York, Berlin, Paris), and 4 regions (the EU, the Nordics, the Americas, East Asia). In year 3, we will explore the theme of cultural hybridity, shifting focus to returnee artists currently based in Seoul, Honam, Yeongnam, and Jeju.
K-ART PORTAL
The K-Art Portal marks VNV’s expansion into the realms of digital media art, film, and performance. The portal will include content-based features, digital screenings, and live events scheduled to take place at venues in Finland and across the Nordics.
youthcanvas
Held in May and August each year, the YouthCanvas contest offers young, talented, and aspiring K-Creatives the chance to be featured on our platform.
