His acrylic reflections brim with positivity and re-awaken the innocent spirit dormant within us all. With a little wonder in his pocket, Won-Chul returns to a point of child-like simplicity and euphoria, retrieving the fragments of his past and reviving a sense of anticipation for all the enchanting experiences yet to unfold.
Lyrical and poetic, Won-Chul’s nostalgic scenes play out in the sanctity of the Korean countryside. taehyung kim
As a stay-at-home father and fun loving kind, Korean artist Taehyung Kim’s paintings and adorable rubber duck motifs are centered around his theme of “Fantasy and Delusion in Daily Life.” Borrowing the concept of dowongyeong (ideal world) in a satirical manner, Taehyung experiments with jangji paper, oriental brushes, ink, and organic pigments to reflect upon his youth and reconstruct the emotional highs and lows that both challenge and astound him in the midst of various unpredictable parenting encounters. From splashes of fear and anxiety, to uncontrollable laughter and euphoric flows, his canvas serves as a healing space and liberal playground in which to unleash and resolve the stressful entanglements that constitute his busy life.
